I wish I could afford the habit, but I just can’t help be fascinated by technology.
I would love to just play with new gadgets all day long, but I can’t.
Right now I’m craving a few new tech goodies that are slightly out of reach. 1. iPad, 2. Digital SLR 3.iPhone 4 (of course). 4. Mac book. Of course these are all very pricey, and they are not necessities in the slightest, but I dream about owning these things. It amazes me how much innovation has been made in the past few years with mobile devices. Things that years ago I was thinking “wouldn’t it be neat if my phone could do this…”, now my phone can.
I find it harder and harder to conclude whether or not the world was advancing so fast around me before, and I just never noticed before my iPhone, or if things really have sped up in the last few years. Five years ago you were pretty rad if you had a Nokia and busted out some snake, and now you can pretty much do anything you want on a 3 inch screen including play Halo and Diablo clones. From leaps to bounds, we are moving fast and I cannot wait to see where it goes.
I am also impressed with how much cheaper things are becoming. 10 years ago you could not even dream of owning a PC for under $1500. Now you can take hope a laptop netbook for $200 that can run circles around that 10 year old paper weight. As things advance, they are getting easier to attain, and I like it a lot!
I’m sure eventually I’ll just break down and buy myself these things, but for now I am enjoying scouring the internet for reviews, insights, and tricks that they are capable of. The SLR will probably come first, as my little one is only little once, and I am in love with crisp images I captured of Ty with the SLR and would like to experience repeat success!
I cannot weight to see what those tech gurus do next!

As you can see, Ty is quite a fan of the SLRs as well. Yay for my tech enthused toddler. Just as soon as he stops putting the iPhone in his mouth, we’re looking into getting him an itouch… if only he realized that!
