Every year the stores open up earlier and earlier to entice the crowds of holiday deal-searches. Although you may be able to score a few items at a discounted rate, the deals do not come without other sacrifices. The mobs of people chasing after discounted flat screens to put under their Christmas trees might be be enough to scare off some shoppers, but there are other annoyances to consider.

One of the most popular post on this blog is 13 Awesome, Unique, and Nerdy iPhone Accessories. But despite my efforts to convert many to the Apple ‘dark side’ there are some who are faithful to their android pocket computers. Truthfully, I understand. But, at this point I’ve been saturated in the iOS market so much that it would be very difficult to switch. I just expect my phone to operate a certain way. It’s not that Android and Windows devices are not as good as iPhones, they are just different.
This post if devoted to those of you who beat to a different smartphone drum.
It seems that the Apple iPad may actually have itself a formidable competitor in the Amazon Kindle Fire HD.
One might argue that Amazon is simply picking up on the coat tails of what Apple has already pioneered. But it seems as though Amazon is delivering a comparable product at a fraction of the price.
The one detractor from the Kindle Fire HD is it’s limited Apps marketplace. However, one might be able to overlook that short coming when they learn about all fantastic offerings of Amazon prime. I also am personally attracted to the smaller, more portable, size.

When I moved from my job as a floor nurse to informatics one of the most exciting things was getting my own office. Among the many perks of cubicle life is getting to have office toys, desk crap, and other entertaining ways to personalize you space. Anyone who comes to my office will not only be able to collaborate with me to help facilitate better processes and standards in nursing documentation but also be thoroughly entertained by my fun desk paraphernalia.
I had been pining for a Mac for a couple of years now. Several times I came very close to buying one, but just couldn’t bring myself to part with the cash. I’ve always heard that once you go Mac you never go back. But after my experience with a MacBook Pro, I’m hear to tell you that “Once you go Mac you never go back” is Totally Whack!

In stereotypical nerd fashion, I am an eyeglass wearer.
One of the biggest annoyances in wearing eye glasses is the constant smudges, dirty, dust, oil, fingerprints, toddler drool, toothpaste, oatmeal and other oddities that can find their way onto my lenses. Luckily, many advances in eye wear technology are becoming available to improve our glasses wearing experiences.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jakks Pacific before, and they make some pretty neat kids toys. When I had the opportunity to review this $39.99 stand alone video game (Plug It In & Play Disney Pixar Cars 2 TV Game™), I was eager to test it out with my little boy. Although I honestly think the price is a little high for what it is, my little boy just about flipped out when he saw the packaging and has had so much fun “driving cars” since we plugged it in.
When Ty started play the game, and I questioned what he was doing, he informed me that I’d have to “Wait a second,” because he was “driving this car.”
