iPhone 6 Plus Case Review: Ballistic Tough Jacket Maxx and Urbanite

When the new iPhone 6 Plus came on the scene I knew I just had to have one, even though they were the bigfoot of the tech world and nearly impossible to find. But even before I had my hands on the phone itself I was looking for a case to protect it. With the big deal that was made out of #bendgate I knew that I couldn’t risk one second of having outside a reliable case. Luckily, my husband and I received the Ballistic Tough Jacket Maxx and Urbanite iPhone 6 Plus cases to review.

Keep Your Devices Alive with the Griffin PowerDock 5

When you have a family that is addicted to devices like we are getting power back into each one is important to keep the peace. There’s nothing worse than a 4 year who wants to play Minecraft but has 0% battery life on his iPad. That would usually be the point where he picks up his foam Minecraft sword and wants to act out the game with me in real life… and oh yea, I’m a creeper. But since we’ve have our Griffin PowerDock 5 centrally located, and at an accessible height, he just plugs it right in on his own and I no longer have to be bludgeoned.

There’s an App for That: 10 Useful Apps for Medical Students

So, it turns out all of these were right, but I have had a little helping hand with that last one. On the first day of my 4th year I received a shiny new iPhone 4s from my medical school, and using it as an ‘educational tool’ was the last thing on my mind. We were encouraged to download an app called Dr Companion because my university had bought a licence to it along with some books we could download.

13 Awesome, Unique, and Nerdy iPhone Accessories

One of the coolest things about owning an iPhone is the boatload of accessories that are made to go with it. From nifty cases to clever audio accessories, I am constantly amazed by all the neat goodies you can get to accompany your iPhone.

So I took a little time and did some perusing to bring to your attention some iPhone accessories that I thought were pretty cool. I have to be honest. I get lost for hours looking at this sort of stuff. And yea… I have spend some cash on a nerdy novelty from time to time…

Telemedicine & Online Doctors: Reaching the Unreachable

Technology continually improves healthcare and our daily lives.

The video below is a fantastic example of technology saving lives by providing improved access to trauma surgeons in areas that don’t have them on staff. Trauma surgeon Rafael Grossmann MD(@ZGJR) reached out to me on twitter and shared with me the video. In it, he discusses iPod Teletrauma: the $229 130 million sq. ft. Trauma Room.

iPhone Car Mount with USB Charger You Can Use with Your Case On!

Cobra Universal Vehicle Flex Mount with USB Charging Port for GPS, iPhones, and More
The Cobra universal vehicle flex mount (model CB-MNT-CIGUSB) is the first smartphone mount I’ve used that worked with the iPhone in an Otterbox case. This is fairly significant since I’ve been searching for a practical one for quite some time. I’ve used a few other universal mounts and they were always lacking in one way or another.
