Working the holidays can be a bummer, but not so much if you have a glove Christmas tree complete with Christmas ornaments for nurses.
Many nurses, paramedics, doctors, and other members of the healthcare team choose to make the best of this time and have quirky medical fun.
The following are some excellent examples of the weird sense of humor that many of use in the healthcare environment share.
Glove Christmas Trees
These images were discovered on the “Paramedics on Facebook” facebook page.
This final tree is from Post Rock Family Medicine.
What do you do during the holidays to brighten the mood? Do you sing Christmas carols at eh nurses station? Play dirty Santa with the condom catheters from the medical supply closet? Or perhaps you have a big potluck dinner and appreciate your work family?

We got the air to stay in by knotting the end like a balloon. Our problem was not being able to get them to stick to each other. We made a massive paper cone and using selotape stuck each glove to the cone and it worked fine. It was used in the local Methodist Church Tree Festival where the asked for 120 trees and got over 150 and ours was certainly the talking point, featured on the local radio and raised money for the local hospice…relevant using surgical gloves. A great idea and well done.
That’s a great idea!
When I was working on mine I thought that double sided tape and poster board would have worked well. I am glad to hear that it was effective for you!
I am also thrilled to hear it raised money for a great cause!
Might give that a try this year 😉

I had trouble with vinyl gloves. Latex work much better if you’ve got them. It’s be 2 days and they are still full.
I’m having the same problem the air doesn’t want to stay in the gloves
Just tie a knot in them like you would a balloon. Is that not holding?
I am trying to make the glove christmas tree but I can get the air to stay in the gloves. Does any one have any ideas of how they closed the gloves I need help thanks Becky A
