We do not set aside nearly enough time to express thanks for the many blessings that we have in our lives. I am glad that we have a day dedicated to be thankful and embracing family. Sometimes we forget just how fortunate we are and Thanksgiving is wonderful reminder to take a moment to count your many blessings.

I am an expert in using social media to promote innovation in healthcare and technology because I live and breathe it everyday. I am an expert on lateral violence and the methods to be used to combat it because I experience it first hand, have spent countless hours researching the phenomena, and know the legal implications a company can face if they allow it to happen. I am an expert because my passion in the areas of nursing and technology has forced me to constantly strive to promote innovations to help nurses and medical professionals work smarter not harder.

I am attending Blog World Expo 2011 in LA. Being a nurse blogger has brought me so many fantastic opportunities. It was much of the reason I landed my current job, as a clinical informatics specialist ( the nerdiest nursing job ever!).
Next year perhaps I can convince some awesome brand that they need The Nerdy Nurse to represent them at one of these fabulous conferences. Social media connections are fantastic, but it would be nice to sit down and have a meal with some other nurse bloggers. Are there enough of us to have our own conference?
