Today I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything, But it’s not Like it Matters

I’m a fan of Bruno Mars latest radio Hit “The Lazy Song”. As much as I thing that much youth of American are entitled and lazy, there are some who are hard-working and occasionally just need a break. It would be nice if this were a song that those could turn to as their need-a-day-off anthem.

So for all of those who work hard and need a day to just veg-out and not do a darn thing, I present this quirky, cute music video. There’s just something about those whistling pantless monkeys that just makes me giggle. This is for those days where you just “… don’t feel like doing anything.”

But today, even though I may not feel like doing anything, I’m going to have to avoid the urge to just kick back and relax, and get to work on my HITECH certification program coursework. I am not where I need to be in my progress and I really do feel is has been and will be helpful in my transition into nursing informatics.

Tomorrow starts my work week with my painfully long 53 mile commute. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about moving close to my new job. The VW Bug certainly makes the commute much more enjoyable, and the 27 MPG I’m averaging has been a GREAT improvement over the 19-22 I could have hoped for in my Chevrolet Aveo.

We looked at several houses, prices and conditions varied. We ended up picking one that was a little more than we wanted to spend, but on the very low end of the spectrum. We’re paying tad more for location, because it’s one that is the gated resort community. It’s been dubbed the Tupac House’ because there are small computer printout photos of Tupac tacked up on one of the basements walls. Probably 20 in total. It was funny, and it stuck. So Tupac, cross our fingers, and we’ll be moving in to keep you company.

The "Tupac House"

We put an offer in on the house and it was accepted. Pending inspecting, appraisal, and all the red-tape that comes with buying a home. I believe by sometimes in October we’ll be in our new home and things will be much more settle. So I guess that is when I can schedule my own personal lazy day.

October can’t come soon enough!

I guess I’ll just have to play The Lazy Song repeatedly and give myself the illusion of not doing anything. Maybe it will work… Maybe?
