Counting my Blessings

Count your blessings.

I don’t think we do this often enough. I have been fortunate in my life and have been given many opportunities. I have also made many opportunities for myself. But, I still try to take a few moments to be thankful. This leads me to what I intend to write about here today: some of my blessings.

It is very exciting to me to be a part of social media these days. I consider this a blessing. It gives me an outlet to express myself and be embraced by individuals who are interested and value my opinion. In addition to this blog, I also get to reach 184,000 subscribers on MyRealityTech.com. The fact that my voice is heard by so many about a topic I am passionate about, technology, is awe inspiring to me.

She hates it when I do this, but I need to recognize my friend Jenna Gonzalez once again for the amazing opportunities she has given me and the faith she has had in me as a writer and a person. Because of her I have been able to jump into peoples inbox with my nerdy little rants, attend International CES, and play with so really cool technology that I likely wouldn’t have had an opportunity to otherwise.  People like her are few and far between and I am honored to have her in my life.

Of course I am incredibly thankful for my wonderful family. My husband as son inspire greatness in me and give me additional justification for the efforts I make to improve our lives and the world around us. I am thankful that I have a faithful and loving husband and a smart and beautiful little boy.

Yesterday he shed his gorgeous baby locks and made the visual transition from baby to boy. A bittersweet moment in a mother’s life that I almost wish I would have put off a little longer. His cherub look may be gone, but his happiness and energy are still abound.

He will no longer be confused with a girl, but I know I will never again see that sweet baby hair shine in the son with its heavenly glow. I feel almost as though I took his angel wings away, but I know this feeling will pass with time.

I just wanted to take my little piece of a web and express some good thoughts and share a little piece of my life with you, that may not be nursing based, but helps me to deliver good nursing care.

Thank you for taking the time to take in my ramblings, I really do enjoy being able to share my life, experiences, and opinions with the world.
