Jumbo Knob Pets Puzzle

This charming wooden puzzle, by Melissa & Doug is gear for language and education development. By using this toy with my son, I am able to aid him in learning a variety of things form this safe and well built toy. The large wooden knobs area easy to hold and help my son manipulate the pieces quite easily. We practiced putting the shapes back into place as I told him what each animal was and they sound that they make.

Ty not only enjoyed the toy itself, but the increased interaction that this particular toy gave us. Since we do not have pets of our own, I found this to be a nice way to show and tell Ty what these animals are. His favorite thing to do was try and put the pieces in the wrong spots entirely. Knowing they did not belong, he tried exceptionally hard to get them to lay in place.
Alas, my stubbornness has passed on to another generation. I’ll be interested to see what he does with it. I’ve often been known to say that a man in this world with my brawn would be an interesting site to see. I feel we may very well get that opportunity with my little one.
I really adore classic toys like this. Not only are they durable, but they are also practical. As much as I love my gadgets, it is nice to enjoy more classic and timeless traditions and products.
Ty sure does enjoy his puzzle!
