End of Vacation, Ty Says Wow, Back to work!

My husbands family left a little while ago. The house feels odd now. empty.

It also may have something to do with the fact that my husband just went out to get dinner and the little one is taking a nap. Man has Ty’s schedule been thrown off the last week. Although, Ty has learned how to do a lot in the last week including how to say “wow”.

Ty says Wow

Its been interesting to have other people in the house. My husband got off his obsessive exercise and calorie counting bandwagon for a week, so that was nice to experience. I’m wondering how hardcore he is going to go back on it. It is odd to think that just six months ago he was 100lbs heavier. I wish he would have lost the weight in a safer way to his body, but I am glad he is happy with what he has done. I am worried about him yo-yoing back up again. He has a long history of loosing weight quickly and packing twice as much back on just and fast.

Starting back to work tonight from vacation. Will be nice to see the girls again. I am exciting to be taking care of patents again. I hope I have a few with some personality. I really enjoy my patients who like to joke and cut up as much as me. That has been one of the nicest benefits of moving from weekends to weekdays. Most of my patients now are surgical patients and therefore younger and healthier in general, so they haven’t lost all shreds of their sense of humor. I am excited to see the ladies I work with. I cannot begin to express how nice it is to work with people who want to work with me and enjoy working with me. Its funny that the women I worked with on weekends threw a party when I left and the women I work with and weeknights threw a party when I came.

It feels so nice to be wants and I can honestly say it makes me happy to go to work. Being a nurse has its ups and downs and working with great people is definitely an up.

Do you realize you referred to your husband as "her"?

  2. Nurse Brittney says:

    lol. No. I hadn't.

Let me fix that, although it is pretty funny considering our role reversal.
