Over the past week or so my son has been waking up in the middle of the night and crying. The usual tricks don’t seem to be working. Sometimes he takes a bottle. Often he will drink some of it, then proceed to spit it out and cry. The only thing that really seems to help is for me to sit up and hold him chest to chest and rock him. This is really a first for him and I can’t think of what may be causing this. It is becoming nearly a nightly thing and I would really like to know if this is a normal occurrence. Then again, I suppose every child is different and I just need to let him be himself.
I really do enjoy co-sleeping with my baby boy. His warmth, smell, and softness are relaxing and soothing. When he is lying beside me and is at peace with the world it reminds me of just how amazing it is to create life. I cannot believe that I actually made him. I made an entire person who is beautiful, funny, charming, smart, funny, cute, and a whole slew of adjectives that could fill pages and page.
I really do wish I could remedy this waking and screaming for seemingly no reason. My best guess is that he is teething. Then again, past 3 months, apparently he has been constantly teething according to the pediatrician and pretty much everyone else you ask about crying or fussing.
My couponing friends have neglected me for this week and I only have 3 days off this week. I need to do all my clipping, sorting, filling, and shopping tomorrow! Heather may be able to come over tomorrow for couponing, but we always get ourselves side-tracked. I really need to go to at least Kroger and rite aid as their are man good deals to be had. I will most likely forgo cvs for the week. as I can’t seem to find the needed coupons, and I haven’t even glanced at Walgreens.
Hopefully Ty will allow us to sleep tonight and I can get up early to pair my adds up. I am starting to get more efficient at this couponing thing, but I am still not where I would like to be. Somehow people can save 90% on their grocery bill! I just don’t see how that is possible, I do well to save 50%-60% and I thought that was pretty good. Ah well. With time perhaps I will get that good.

Your little guy could have an ear infection or he could be having night terrors. If night terrors are the case, just keep hugging and rocking him. I could be to that he misses you when you are at work.
Take care, this to shall pass.

I don't think its an earache, he is fine during the day and doesn't really tug on his ears at all. The night terrors are something I am not familiar with, so I will have to investigate that further. Thanks for the advice.
My oldest daughter used to get night terrors, too. And she also quit sleeping through the night (on her own, in her own room) at about nine months, though nobody's sure why.
Great blog! I found you through MBC, and will add you to my blogroll.
