My lovely little munchkin is crawling around the floor today as I sigh and wipe my brow of relief and achievement. WE DID IT! He made it to a year without any major injuries or catastrophes. He is wonderful, beautiful, healthy, and happy. I don’t think I could ask for a more perfect child. He took 4 steps last night, and hopefully (crosses fingers) will show the family his skills this evening at his birthday party. His cake is going to have a barrel of monkeys! Hopefully everyone will enjoy themselves and Ty will shine.
In a year this little many has changed so many aspects of our lives. He has provided me with the strength to go to work and face challenges I know I wouldn’t have been able to do before. He has given me hope that mankind is good. He inspires me to be a better mother, wife, and nurse. He inspires me to be a better person.
He relies on me for everything, yet I know he doesn’t begin to realize just how much I rely on him. Ty has inspired my love for my husband to levels I never even imagined before. He has opened my eyes to beauty of creation, to God’s genius designs of the human body, and how a species we are truly designed to survive. He is the future and I am given the privilege of molding him into the man that he will one day before. What an honor I have had bestowed upon me.
I hope that I can do him justice. I hope to be able to provide him with everything he needs, some of the things he wants, and all of the things he loves. I hope he will grow to be a man who is kind and reliable, has respect for his fellow man and woman, and will never settle. I hope he has a hunger and passion for life that will drive him to fufill all his wildest dreams. I hope that his life will be a happy one. I hope that I can be a good mother to him.
Today is the day that 9 months of incubation and year of trial and error have brought. Today is a good day.

Happy Frist Year to your baby boy!
What a cutie! Love that pic.
Happy birthday to you little one (who is super cute, BTW!). I remember the day that each of my 2 boys turned 1. It was such a bitter sweet day filled with lots of laughter and tears.
Enjoy this day with your little one.
