baby ring sling for baby wearing

I won a ring sling while I was pregnant with my son. Like this one Lite-on-Shoulder Ring/pouch hybrid Baby Sling(Fern Batik). I was allowed to pick out the color, and I received it very quickly. Actually, we have had 3 different baby wearing devices since the birth of my son. A Boppy Sling, a BABYBJÖRN, and the ring sling.

We used the boppy carrier a good bit when Ty was smaller. Specifically under 2-3 months. He would sleep in it, and really enjoyed riding inside. At that point, even though Ty is on the smaller side he pretty much outgrew it and no longer wanted to lay on mommy, but wanted to sit up and see around.
We then tried the BABYBJÖRN for a while. That was a disaster. Have you ever had your baby poop in this sort of sling? Talk about needing to have stock in a wipe company. The poop gets everywhere! It took us nearly 20 minutes to clean him up when he pooped while being held in this carrier. We promptly retired this carrier.
I decided to try and use the wrap sling. I had tried a few times before but could never get the thing on right. Every time I did it would dig into my shoulder and really hurt my back. Apparently I wasn’t wearing the thing right. So I googled some videos about the properly way to wear a baby with this device, and presto! we have a winner
So now I can wear my child and actually get something done around the house every now and then. Ty, god love him, is spoiled absolutely rotten. He is very clingy and requires nearly constant attention. He sleeps with us, bathes with us, and he cannot stand for us to leave his site, but I digress. The solution to this is clear the baby sling. Now he can sit up on my side and hang out if he’d like. Or, like you see above, sleep while I sit in the yard and instruct my husband on what yard work to do.
